The Tapestry of Blazing Starbirth is a stunning portrait captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. It showcases the giant nebula NGC 2014 and its neighboring NGC 2020 within the Large Magellanic Cloud. This region represents an expansive area of star formation, displaying vibrant, swirling clouds of gas and dust where new stars are born. A breathtaking tapestry, highlighting the beauty and mysteries of space.
In the painting process I used a box cutout as a paint palette. In a short time, the oil from the paints infiltrated the box, which naturally left the paint less oily and with a textured appearance when applied to the canvas. I really liked this.
